Batch changes
How the agent turns pasted notes into a checklist of companies or contacts that you add selectively.
When a request would create several records at once, the agent proposes a batch card: a checklist with one row per item. You tick the ones you want and apply the selection. Batch cards are used for two things: adding companies to Sourcing from notes you paste, and adding several contacts at once.
Paste notes, get a checklist
- Open the agent and paste your notes, for example a list from a demo day or an email thread, with a prompt like “Add these companies from my notes: …”.
- The agent parses each company and reads back how many it found: “I parsed 4 companies from your notes. Pick which to add — each is enriched after saving:”.
- The card Add to Sourcing lists each company with the details it extracted: website, sector, stage.
For each company the agent tries to extract the name, website domain, sector, stage, location and a one-line description. Companies whose domain is already in your workspace are left off the list, and the card’s subtitle says how many were already tracked.
Choose what to add
- Each row is a checkbox. Click a row to toggle it.
- Rows with a website are ticked by default. A row with no website is unticked and marked “no website — will be skipped”; the agent needs a domain to create a company, because the domain is the record’s identity.
- Your selection is stored with the card, so it looks the same in the dock and in Agent Mode.
Apply the selection
Click Add selected. For each ticked company the agent:
- Creates the organisation in Network with the Startup category, so it appears in Sourcing.
- Writes the extracted fields (description, headquarters, sector, stage) with the source “Agent ·
” and Medium confidence. - Queues enrichment, which fills the remaining fields from public information with their own source and confidence.
The agent confirms “Added 3 companies — they’re in Sourcing with fields marked ‘Agent ·
Several contacts at once
Paste or type a list of people, for example “Add these contacts: Jane Doe, jane@acme-robotics.com, CFO; John Roe, john@northwind.vc”. Each person needs a name and an email address; if an email is missing, the agent asks for it instead of creating a card.
- The card Add to Contacts lists each person with their email, title and company. Everyone is ticked by default.
- A person is linked to a company when you name one that exists in your workspace, or when their email domain matches a company’s domain. Otherwise the row reads “no company linked”.
- People whose email is already in Contacts are left off the list, and the subtitle says how many.
- Click Add selected. The agent confirms “Added N people to Contacts”, and the activity feed records it with your name.
A single new contact is proposed as an ordinary action card with an Add contact button.
Dismiss
Dismiss discards the whole card. To add a subset, untick rows rather than dismissing.
Tips
- Give the agent domains where you can (“acme-robotics.com”), not just names. It removes protocols and “www.” itself.
- If every company in the notes already exists, the agent tells you which ones and offers no card.
- Review the extracted stage. It must be one of the product’s stages; anything else is left blank for enrichment to fill.
