Roles and team
Invite team members, understand the Owner, Admin and Member access levels, and manage who can do what.
Everyone on your team works in one workspace. Every member sees the same companies, deals, portfolio and reports; access levels decide who can change the firm’s setup, funds and team. Plans include unlimited seats, so invite everyone who touches the fund.
Access levels
| Level | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an Admin can. A workspace must keep at least one Owner; an Owner cannot be deactivated until ownership is transferred. |
| Admin | Manage Settings (Firm profile, Integrations, Language, Plan & billing). Create and edit funds, commitments, capital calls and distributions. Create, edit and publish LP report sets and send LP notices and reminders. Invite, deactivate and reactivate members and change their access. |
| Member | Full access to Sourcing, Network, Pipeline, Contacts, Portfolio, Performance and the agent. Read-only on Funds and LP Reporting: members see funds, LPs and report sets but cannot change or publish them. Edit their own profile. Settings tabs reserved for Admins show “Admin access required”. |
The level is labelled Role in the team list and the invite form. Fund-level and LP-level changes are reserved for Owners and Admins, in the screens and in the agent alike. Publishing is additionally protected by the review dialog.
Invite a member
- Open Team and click Invite member (Owners and Admins only).
- Enter Full name, Work email, an optional Title, and choose the Role: Member, Admin or Owner.
- Click Send invite.
The person receives an email with a sign-in link and appears in the list with the status Invited until they accept. Their access level is already set, so they land in the workspace with the right permissions on first sign-in. If the email does not arrive, open the member and use the button next to “Invitation pending” to send the invite again. An address that already belongs to a member is refused. See also Invite your team.
The team list
Each row shows the member, their role, their status (Active, Invited or Deactivated) and their workload: how many deals they lead, how many they support and how many portfolio companies they cover. Click a row to open the member drawer.
The member drawer
- Profile & access — contact details, joined date and who invited them. Owners and Admins can change the access level from the role menu and click Edit profile; every member can edit their own profile here or under Settings → My profile.
- Workload — the deals they lead, the deals they support and their portfolio coverage.
- Deactivate member — available to Owners and Admins for anyone except themselves and Owners. A deactivated member can no longer sign in; their history stays in the activity feed. Reactivate member reverses it.
Sign-in methods
Team members sign in with a password, a one-time email link or Google. Under Settings → Security each member can change their password and see their active sessions. Two-factor authentication is shown in Settings but is not yet available.
Profile photos
Everyone can add their own photo from Settings, then My profile, with Change photo. Pick an image, drag and zoom inside the round frame, and save. The photo replaces your initials in the sidebar, the team list and on deal cards. Remove photo returns to initials.
