Deleting a workspace
How to cancel your subscription and have your workspace deleted, what is removed, and what is retained.
Deleting a workspace removes your firm’s tenant and everything in it. It is permanent. Because it also cuts off your investors’ portal access, deletion is done on request by an Owner rather than from a button in the app.
Before you delete
- Export your data. Once the workspace is gone, nothing can be recovered. See Data export.
- Tell your LPs. Published report sets, capital account statements and the portal sign-in stop working for every LP contact. Share final documents through another channel first.
- Check for a second Owner. Only an Owner can request deletion. If the Owner has left, an Admin should contact us and we will verify the request another way.
Step 1 — cancel the subscription
- Open Settings → Plan & billing (Owners and Admins).
- Click Manage billing. The billing portal lets you cancel at the end of the current period.
- The plan shows Cancels at period end. You keep full access until then, and nothing further is charged.
Cancelling on its own does not delete data. A cancelled workspace keeps its data for the period described in our privacy policy so you can export it or resubscribe.
Step 2 — request deletion
- Go to the contact form and state “delete workspace”, naming your firm.
- Write from the Owner’s email address. We confirm the request with that address before acting.
- Tell us whether you want deletion immediately or at the end of the paid period.
We confirm by email when deletion is complete.
What is deleted
- The firm tenant: organisations, contacts, interactions, deals, memos, portfolio positions and rounds, funds, LP records, capital calls, distributions.
- Report sets, their documents and the built reports, the access log and reminder history.
- Uploaded files attached to organisations and report sets.
- Team member records and every member’s access to the workspace.
- LP contacts’ portal access: their sign-in links stop working and the portal no longer recognises their email.
- Connected inbox and calendar integrations are disconnected; revoke Investryx from your Google account as well.
What is retained
- Billing records. Invoices, receipts and the subscription history are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. They contain the firm name, billing contact and amounts, not your workspace data.
- Backups are rotated on the schedule in the privacy policy; workspace data disappears from them as they age out.
Details and retention periods are in the privacy policy and the terms of service.
Deleting a single member instead
To remove one person rather than the workspace, deactivate them from the Team screen. See Roles and team.
