Positions
Read the portfolio list, open a position's full history, and understand what each number means.
Portfolio is the list of companies your funds have invested in. A position is created automatically when a deal closes, so you never type a company in twice; from then on you record rounds, marks and exits against it.

The list
Use the fund pills at the top (All funds or a single fund) to scope the view. Four summary cards follow: Invested, Total value with the blended multiple, Active with the number exited, and At risk.
The table has one row per position:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Company | Name and sector; select the row to open the position |
| Fund | The vehicle holding the position |
| First invested | Date of the initial investment |
| Invested | Total cost across all rounds you participated in ($M) |
| Own % | Current ownership after dilution |
| Total value | Current mark plus any realised proceeds ($M) |
| MOIC | Total value ÷ invested |
| Status | Active, At risk, Exited or Written off |
Two icon buttons on each row — Record a new round and Record exit — open the corresponding forms without leaving the list.
If a fund has no holdings yet, the list explains how positions are created: drag a deal to Closed on the Pipeline, or use Record investment on the deal.
The position detail
Select a row to open the position popup. It shows:
- Headline figures: Invested, Total value, Ownership, MOIC.
- First investment and Holding period; Valuation · entry → latest; Realised proceeds.
- Security, Board · pro-rata, Our role, Founded · team, Co-investors and Website, drawn from the company record.
- Quarterly KPIs — the latest request’s status and a button to request or remind.
- Round & follow-on history — every entry from the initial investment through follow-ons, markups and exit, newest first, each with the date, valuation, your amount, ownership after the round and an Edit this entry icon.
- Record exit and Record new round buttons.
Editing an entry reopens the same form it was recorded with, pre-filled; closing it returns you to the position, not to the list. The initial investment is edited the same way, from its row in the history.
How the numbers are derived
- Ownership starts from the initial round and is diluted by each later round according to the amount raised and your participation.
- Value is your ownership applied to the latest post-money valuation, or the current value you entered when editing the investment.
- MOIC divides total value (current mark plus realised proceeds) by everything you invested. A written-off position ends at 0.0×; a full exit ends at proceeds ÷ invested.
All money is in millions of the fund’s currency. Fund-level returns — TVPI, DPI, IRR — are computed on Performance from these positions together with the fund’s capital calls and distributions.
