Research

Search the web for a company's recent funding rounds and news from inside the detail drawer.

Enrichment fills the profile; research answers “what happened lately?”. Two sections in the company drawer — Recent funding and Recent news — run an AI web search on demand and list what they find with a link to the original source.

  1. Open a company and expand Recent funding (startups only) or Recent news.
  2. Before the first run, the section explains what it will look for. Select Search on the section header.
  3. The header shows “searching the web for funding rounds…” or “searching the web for recent news…” while the job runs. You can keep working; the drawer updates when it finishes.
  4. Results appear as a list, with a count pill on the section header.

If nothing trustworthy turns up, the section reads “Nothing reliable found in public sources.” Investryx does not invent rounds or articles to fill the space.

Recent funding

Covers roughly the last two years of rounds, most recent first, up to six entries. Each entry shows:

  • Date and round (Seed, Series A, and so on)
  • Amount
  • Investors, with the lead marked “(lead)”
  • Source — the publication, linked to the article

The footer reminds you that figures are AI-gathered from public sources and should be verified before you rely on them. When you confirm a number, enter it on the Overview (Total raised, Last round, Lead investor) so it carries a Manual badge.

The most recent round date found here also feeds the Fundraise likelihood signal.

Recent news

Covers recent coverage that is not about funding — product, hiring, partnerships, regulation — up to six items. Each shows the date, the source, the linked title and a one-sentence summary. Open the link for the full story.

Freshness

Results are stored per company and treated as current for about a week. Selecting Search again after that runs a fresh search; before that, the stored results are shown. Summaries follow the workspace’s AI co-pilot language.

Where research is used

Research results stay on the company record and are visible to the whole team. They are part of the context the AI memo draws on when it drafts an investment memo, and they help the agent answer questions such as “when did Acme Robotics last raise?”.
