Capital calls

Issue a capital call as a percentage of commitments, track each LP's payment, and see overdue notices.

A capital call draws down a percentage of committed capital. Investryx allocates it pro-rata across the fund’s LPs, tracks who has paid, and raises a notification when a payment goes past its due date.

Before you start

The fund needs LP commitments on its LPs tab. The call amount is calculated from those commitments. Issuing calls and marking payments require the Owner or Admin access level.

Issue a call

  1. Open Funds, click the fund, and switch to the Capital calls tab.
  2. Click New call.
  3. Enter the % of commitments to draw (for example 20), a Purpose such as “Follow-on reserves & fees”, and a Due date.
  4. Click Issue call.

The call is numbered in sequence for the fund (Call #1, #2, …). The total equals the percentage applied to the sum of the fund’s commitments, and each LP’s allocation is its share of that total in proportion to its commitment. The call is created with the status Notice sent, and the activity feed records that you issued it.

What each LP sees

The call appears in each LP’s portal under Capital account → Capital call history, with the fund, due date and the LP’s own amount. Until you mark it paid, the row shows “notice sent”. The app itself does not send the wire instructions; share those the way you do today.

Track payments

Each call row on the Capital calls tab lists the Per-LP allocation: the LP, its amount and a Paid or Awaiting state. The header shows how many LPs have paid, for example “2 of 5 LPs paid”.

  • Click Mark paid on an allocation when the money arrives. The paid date is recorded.
  • Click Mark unpaid to reverse a mistake.

When every allocation is paid, the call’s status becomes Paid. Called to date on the fund and the firm roll-up update immediately, and dry powder falls by the same amount.

Overdue payments

After the due date, every unpaid allocation raises a notification in the bell: “Capital call #3 — payment 4 days overdue” (after 60 days, “overdue since ”). Clicking it opens the fund on the Capital calls tab. The agent also lists overdue calls when you ask what needs your attention. See Notifications.

Tips

  • The percentage applies to total commitments, not to the target size. If a fund has no commitments yet, the committed size is used as the base.
  • Capital calls are part of the fund’s cashflows on Performance, so issue them with the real due date.
