Connecting Google: contacts and calendar

What Investryx asks for when a team member connects Google — read-only contacts and calendar events — what each permission is used for, what is stored, and how to disconnect.

Relationship intelligence answers one question: who on our team knows this company or this person, and how well? Investryx builds the answer from the interactions your team logs and from the meetings members pick from their own Google Calendar. Email is never requested.

What Investryx asks Google for

Each member connects their own Google account from Settings → Integrations. Before you reach Google, a dialog lists exactly the permissions Investryx will request, and the Google consent screen shows the same list:

PermissionWhat is readWhat is stored
Your email addressThe address of the connected accountShown on the connection card to label it
Contacts (read-only)Names, email addresses, companies, job titles, phone numbers and labels of your saved contactsOnly the people you tick on the review screen
Other contacts (read-only)People you have emailed but never savedOnly the people you tick on the review screen
Calendar events (read-only)The time, title and attendees of events in your own calendar, for the last four months and the next monthOnly the one event you choose to log as a meeting

Calendar access carries a switch in the dialog, on by default. Switch it off to connect contacts only; you can add calendar access later from the Integrations card or from the calendar picker itself. Event descriptions, attachments and other people’s calendars are never read. There is no Gmail permission of any kind, and no hidden full-access mode.

Connect an account

  1. Open Settings → Integrations (every member sees their own connection).
  2. On the Google card select Connect. Read the permission list, decide whether to include calendar access, and select Continue to Google.
  3. Sign in at Google and approve. You come back to the contacts review screen, where you choose which contacts join your workspace; see Sync Google Contacts.

Microsoft 365 is not offered; Outlook users import a CSV export instead.

Sync a meeting from your calendar

On any company, open Interactions → Log, choose Meeting or Call, and select Sync from calendar. Investryx reads your calendar for the window above, keeps the events that involve this company (an attendee who is one of its contacts, or whose email is on the company’s domain), and lists them newest first. Pick one: its date, time and attendees fill the log, attendees who are already contacts or team members are linked, and the others can be added as contacts in one click. Nothing is saved until you select Save interaction, and only that event is kept, marked On calendar in the log.

If your connection has no calendar access yet, the picker says so and offers Add calendar access, which shows the same permission dialog before sending you to Google.

What a connection gives you

  • Contacts imported into your Network after your review, kept in sync daily, with a who knows them entry for every member who has the person in their own address book.
  • Meetings pulled from your calendar into a company’s interaction log, with attendees prefilled.
  • Relationship strength and Known by rankings computed from those logged interactions, for the company and for every contact involved.

Disconnecting

Disconnect on the Integrations card revokes Investryx’s access at Google and deletes the stored connection and its tokens, including calendar access. Contacts already imported stay in the workspace, and meetings you already logged stay in their company’s history. Deactivating a member disconnects their account automatically. You can also remove Investryx from your Google account’s third-party access page at any time.

Logged interactions

Whether or not Google is connected, the Interactions section on every organisation is an input to relationship strength. Select Log, choose Meeting, Call, Note or Email, add Attendees from your contacts and team, set the date and time, and paste your notes. Each logged touchpoint raises the relationship score for the company and the contacts involved, and counts toward the team members who attended.
