KPI requests

Collect quarterly revenue, burn, runway and headcount from founders through a no-login link, and chase what is overdue.

Quarterly KPIs are the numbers behind every LP update, and founders are slow to send them when it means logging into yet another tool. Investryx asks for four numbers through a personal link that needs no account, and keeps track of who has answered.

What is collected

Every request asks for the same four metrics for the quarter:

MetricDefinition shown to the founder
RevenueMonthly recurring revenue at quarter end ($M)
Net burnAverage monthly net burn ($M)
RunwayMonths of runway at current burn
HeadcountFull-time employees at quarter end

Request KPIs from everyone

  1. Open Portfolio and find the KPI collection panel below the positions table.
  2. Select Request KPIs.

Investryx opens a request for the current quarter for every active position that does not already have one; exited and written-off companies are skipped. For each company it emails the founder contact — the contact whose title looks like CEO, founder, CFO, COO or president, otherwise the first contact with an email address — a short message with a Submit KPIs link. The request is due 14 days later. The email is sent in English. A confirmation reads “Q3 2026 KPI requests sent to 8 companies”, or “Every active company already has a Q3 2026 request”.

Add a contact with an email address to any portfolio company that has none, or its request cannot be delivered.

Request or remind one company

Open the position and look at Quarterly KPIs:

  • No request yet → Request KPI update opens one for this quarter.
  • Request outstanding → Send reminder emails the founder again. Investryx allows one reminder per company every 48 hours.
  • KPIs received → Request next quarter opens the following period’s request.

What the founder sees

The link opens a one-page form headed with your firm’s name and the period, and the line “Four numbers, two minutes”. The founder enters the four values and selects Submit KPIs. They can reopen the same link and select Update numbers to revise until the quarter closes; each submission is recorded with a timestamp for the fund’s records. The form states that nothing is shared beyond the fund.

Tracking status

The KPI collection panel shows a card per company with a status chip:

  • Requested — sent, not yet due
  • Current / Up to date — received for this period
  • Overdue — past the due date; the card shows how many days late and how many reminders have been sent
  • Exited — not collected
  • Not requested — no request this period

When a request passes its due date it is flagged Overdue, a notification is raised under the Portfolio kind, and the dashboard’s KPIs overdue card counts it until the numbers arrive.

Received values are stored on the position and shown in the position detail; they are the source for portfolio highlights in LP reports.
